If you are looking for work in the construction industry, it is a requirement to successfully complete a general safety induction course, in order to be issued a ‘White Card’. This course meets the requirements of the 2011 Workplace Health and Safety Regulation and covers the skills and assessment necessary for a worker to safely enter and work on a construction site in Queensland.
This course will teach the mandatory work health and safety training required prior to entering a construction site or undertaking construction work. You will learn how to demonstrate personal awareness and knowledge of health and safety legislative requirements in order to work safely and prevent injury or harm to self and others. Learn how to identify and report common construction hazards, understand basic risk control measures, and identify procedures for responding to potential incidents and emergencies. You’ll also cover how to correctly select and fit common personal protective equipment (PPE) used for construction work.
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be issued with a White Card and be able to safely work in the construction industry.

- Time and Location
This course is only offered as a face to face option. This one day, face to face course is delivered on Wednesday’s at our head office: 8 Short Street, Southport QLD.
Courses can also be delivered at schools, employer sites, etc. on negotiation
- What To Bring
On the day of your training, please:
- Wear enclosed footwear, and
- Bring 100 points of identification, such as:
- One category A + Two category B documents, or
- Two category A + One category B documents
- NOTE – At least one category A document must be photographic and show a full name and date of birth (DOB)
- NOTE – A white card cannot be issued without 100 points of identification.

There will be one day of face to face training and assessment. On successful completion of your course, you will be issued with a White Card.

The LLN Indicator Tool will be given to you once you have applied for the course. The LLN Indicator Tool is used for us to determine whether you require any additional support with your course and how to enhance your student experience.
